Savoie-Jura
The Savoie vineyard is spread between the French départements of Savoie, Haute-Savoie, Ain and Isère, on 54 towns (two in the Ain and one in the Isère départements) to produce an average of 120,000 hectolitres per year. The cultivated grape varieties are mainly: chardonnay, chasselas, jacquère, molette, roussanne and altesse when it comes to white wine, gamay, mondeuse, persan and pinot noir to make red wines.
